What are your shipping options? + How quickly can I get my order? + What if my USPS First Class Shipping hasn't arrived yet?

Production Turnaround

Jewelry

Susie, our fantastic jewelry maker, does her best to hand-assemble each order as quickly as possible (here is a tour of our production process). Current production time is 6-8 business days. If for some reason we are waiting on supplies or think it might take a bit longer than normal, I’ll be sure to email you and let you know. 

Non-Jewelry Items

Current inventory items ship within 5-7 business days during this heavy ordering time as the shop prepares to close on November 2nd. But please remember that if you order jewelry with your order as well, the info above applies as well.   

Shipping Options

Once your order is made and ready to ship, you will get an email with shipping confirmation and the tracking number.

We ship our US orders USPS Priority Mail for $5 or FedEx Ground for $10. At checkout you can select your shipping preference. Our international orders, excluding iPad covers, ship for a standard $10 fee via Air Mail (can take 1-3 weeks, no tracking number included). 

Please note that the USPS Priority option usually takes just a few days to arrive but can take longer. If you are concerned about knowing where your package is at all times, I definitely recommend the FedEx Ground option for safe, fast, and reliable delivery.

Also, please note that once an order is shipped to the given address on the customer’s order and tracking has been provided, Jess LC is no longer responsible for goods shipped. Please take up any additional concerns with USPS.

If you need an order shipped overnight, please email me (jess@jesslc.com) or call the studio (312.804.7333). We’ll do our absolute best to work with your schedule.

Shipping Delays

If you choose to ship your order with the USPS Priority Mail, the delivery time can vary and there is no tracking number supplied by the USPS Postal Service. We have worked with the post office for years and have had remarkably good results, but there have been times when packages take an unusually long time to arrive. We ask that all orders shipped via USPS are given 10 business days to arrive. If you haven't received your order 10+ business days after you receive an email from us stating that we shipped your order, please email us at jess@jesslc.com. 

International Air Mail orders can take 1-3 weeks to arrive depending on location, customs, the postal services. If you have not received your order within 21 business days of the shipping confirmation email, please let me know at jess@jesslc.com.

INCORRECT SHIPPING ADDRESS POLICY

In the case that incorrect shipping information is given at checkout and the order does not arrive to it's intended destination there are two options: 

1 - We can wait for the first order to arrive here at the studio. And though I hope so much that it will arrive back here quickly, I have no way of telling when or if that will be.

2 - We can extend you a 60% discount on a second order to have until the first one arrives at your home or our studio. If this happens, we will immediately refund your second purchase. We simply need to cover some the cost of materials and labor of the second order.

Returns and Exchanges

Due to the fact that we are closing the shop on November 2nd all sales are now final. 

I’d rather order by phone, is that possible?

Sure! We can take your order over the phone and process your credit card here in the studio. Please call (312.804.7333) for details.

If you are having trouble ordering on the website, please try ordering via the PayPal option. The credit card processing security options in the shopping cart can have trouble processing international and domestic cards and addresses. When processing by phone in our studio, we will be using the same service to process the credit card as the shopping cart online. So if you are having trouble checking out in our online shop, it might be best to pay via PayPal or send a check instead.

Can I change the length of my necklace, earrings, bracelet, scarf, or bag? Or make other small adjustments?

Jewelry Length Changes Before You Order

In almost all cases, yes, we can change the length of your jewelry! If you know the desired length you'd like your item to be, please email me at jess@jesslc.com and let me know the complete length you'd like the item to be. We will note this on your order after you then checkout as usual. Susie, my assistant, will make the item the length you'd like and we will ship it to you. 

If you'd like to add more than 10" of chain (for double chain items this is 5" inches in length, 10" of new chain overall), we will charge an additional $5 to cover the extra material.

Jewelry Length Changes or Minor Changes After You've Received Your Order

If you decide that you'd like your necklace or bracelet to be longer once you've received your order in the mail, you are welcome to send it back to us and we will add the additional length you desire. We do ask that you pay a $5 labor, shipping, and handling fee. 

And if your item will have 10"+ of extra chain, we will add an additional $5 fee to cover the cost of the extra material.

Non-Jewelry Changes

We are not able to change the details, length, size, or lining for our products.

This order is a gift, can I get a message included in the package?

First, I’d like to say that gift orders are some of my favorites! I would be thrilled to include a special message in the package. Please indicate at checkout that the item is a gift and include the message you’d like me to sneak inside. 

I’m getting married and I’d love to get a discount for my bridesmaid jewelry, is that possible? Pretty Please?

Funny you should ask! I actually do a special 25% bridal discount for bridesmaid orders of 3+ items (items to be worn by bridesmaids in the actual wedding ceremony only).

Do you do custom designs?

Jewelry: Unfortunately we do not offer custom designs. Existing jewelry styles may be altered in length, but we do not order special stones, engrave, or do personalization.  

Franklin Collection: This collection has been retired and is no longer available.

Non-Jewelry: These styles are not available for customization.

Tell me more about Soc Chic!

Soc Chic is our form of “volunteering” doing what we do best- making necklaces! This social cause collection raises money and awareness for a variety of non-profits nationwide. Each organization gets up to 40% of the revenue from their Soc Chic necklace.

What’s your return policy?

Because we are closing the shop on November 2nd, all sales are final.

How should I care for my jewelry, bags, and scarves?

Jewelry Care

As a general rule, I suggest not sleeping, swimming, or showering in your jewelry. No need to expose your nice jewelry to harsh chemicals or undue wear and tear. 

    Sterling Silver: If your sterling tarnishes over time, as most sterling does, try using a jeweler’s cloth or silver cleaner. 

    Gold-Fill: The gold-fill jewelry is pretty tough and resists tarnishing. 

    Gold Plate: Gold plate over time can wear off. To maintain the plating, we suggest light use (no sleeping, showering, or exercise), and        again, not putting the item near chemicals, lotions, harsh soaps, or perfumes.

Also, if you want to avoid knots in your jewelry, always hang your necklaces vertically. And when you travel, put your necklaces in sandwich baggies with the clasp hanging outside of the seal.

Bag and Leather Care

Fabric: For fabric, please feel free to wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap, testing a small inconspicuous area first. Fabric protectant can also be applied, but again, please test on a small area before applying to the whole bag. Please note the white cotton twill can get dirty and items like dark rinse denim can rub off onto the bag after extended use.

Leather: For leather accents, please use a damp cloth or mild leather cleaner to keep the bag looking fresh.

Scarf Care

Jess LC scarves are 100% silk and should be gently cared for. To clean, hand wash in a mild detergent like Luxe or Woolite in cool water. A gentle, swishing in the sink, then a gentle rinse, again, in cool water. Once dry, use a steam iron on back side or an iron on the silk setting. DO NOT dry clean.

Oh, no! My necklace broke while playing touch football, can you fix it?

So sorry this happened! Though we pride ourselves on our excellent quality, jewelry can sometimes break. Please send me an email (jess@jeslc.com) explaining the situation. You can ship your jewelry back to the studio. We’ll give your piece a little TLC and send it back to you. We do ask that you pay a $5 labor, shipping, and handling fee.

Bags and scarves with manufacturing defects, unused, are available for exchange. Regular wear and tear damage is not exchangeable.
